Everyone Has a Story: Finding Your Own Jewish Genealogy

Last week, as part of our ongoing Judaica Project, Dan Oren spoke about genealogical research, how to start exploring your own story, and the resources available locally and online. Dan Oren, M.D., is the author of The Wedding Photo, a family genealogical history, and Joining The Club: A History of Jews and Yale. He is a former program chair of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies annual conference and the president of Friends of Jewish Heritage in Poland. He is co-leader of the JewishGen Future Scholars Fellows and JewishGen Neshama trips to Poland. He is a founder and life member of the Jewish Historical Society of Greater New Haven, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026.
