The Adult Ed Committee of Temple Beth Sholom will host two special events: reporting and analysis on the upcoming parliamentary elections in Israel — the most consequential electoral event in recent history.

October 27 will feature live reporting by Doron Ben-Atar, who will present right after polls close. Doron will provide an informed view of the polling results and provide insights into the next phase of coalition jockeying.

Doron Ben-Atar is a professor of history at Fordham University, following earlier appointments at Yale, Princeton, and Columbia. A scholar of antisemitism, the Holocaust, Israel, and anti-Zionism, he is co-editor of Anti-Zionism on Campus: The University, Free Speech, and BDS. His expertise in Israeli history and politics combines scholarship with deep familiarity with Israeli society, which is reflected in his writing for Israeli papers.
